Congratulations go to Freemen's Sixth Formers who have been offered coveted places at Oxford and Cambridge universities.

Ten Freemen's Sixth Formers have been offered places to study a wide variety of courses at Oxford or Cambridge University. The students are: Luke Butcher (Philosophy, Politics and Economics, Oxford), Toby Edison (Materials Science, Oxford), Emily Elstub (Psychology and Philosophy, Oxford), Merlyn Latimer Smith (Biochemistry, Oxford), Candice Lau (Psychological and Behavioural Sciences, Cambridge), Isabel Lewis (Ancient and Modern History, Oxford) Jo Matthews (Medicine, Cambridge), James Morris (Science Engineering, Oxford), Nathalie Said (Biological Sciences, Oxford) and Beatrice Wong (History, Cambridge).

One student said: "I have enjoyed the education I have been given at Freemen's and have appreciated the support from the teaching staff, particularly during my time in the Sixth Form. It is definitely an environment that has enabled me to learn to the level I wanted to – to make a successful Oxford application. I am looking forward to furthering my studies at university, in a subject I am passionate about, and seeing where that leads me."
