From Brixton to Ashtead: 100 years of learning, growth and community.

In 1926, Freemen’s moved from its original home in Brixton to the beautiful surroundings of Ashtead Park. For a century, generations of pupils have flourished here – learning, competing, performing, exploring and forming lifelong friendships.

As we begin the 2025/26 academic year, we are marking 100 years at Ashtead Park with a year-long programme of events for pupils, parents, staff, alumni and friends of the School.

A Year of Celebration

Our centenary celebrations began with a flag-raising ceremony at the start of term and will continue throughout the academic year and into December 2026.

We look forward to celebrating Freemen’s past, present and future with our whole community.
