A calm, positive start sets the tone for the whole day.
Our Breakfast Club runs from 7.00-8.15am, welcoming pupils from both the Junior and Senior Schools. Sessions are booked via our online portal, with payment in arrears through termly fees.
Our catering partners, Thomas Franks, provide a healthy breakfast with a choice of hot and cold options, so pupils are fuelled and ready to learn. Freemen’s staff are on hand to greet pupils, help them settle and get the day off to a smooth start – whether they attend every morning or just on selected days.
After school, the day doesn’t have to end.
From 4.00-6.00pm, our After School Club offers a balanced mix of homework, play and downtime. Pupils enjoy healthy snacks (with a weekly treat), outdoor games whenever the weather allows, and a wide range of indoor activities – from crafts, Lego and board games, to reading and coding challenges.
For pupils in Years 7-9, After School Club takes place in the Haywood Centre Library, with a strong focus on homework in a calm, supervised environment. Again, all sessions are available to book our online portal.
We know family life doesn’t always run to schedule.
If your journey is delayed or plans change unexpectedly, we’ll make sure your child is safely looked after until you arrive.
Before 5.00pm, parents can contact Junior or Senior Reception; after 5.00pm, please contact the Junior or Senior Library.

If staff need to leave before you arrive, they will call you to let you know where your child is located (usually the Dining Hall or Boarding House).
Should bad weather lead to a squad being cancelled, book your child into an After School Club free of charge. Should a club be full, notify the Junior office so we can ensure everyone is waiting safely for your arrival.
