Walbrook House is our modern, purpose-built boarding home – a warm, supportive community at the heart of campus. For our boarders, it is a true home from home: a place to belong, grow in confidence and build lifelong friendships.
With around 70 boarders from the UK and around the world, Walbrook House is small enough for every child to be known, supported and encouraged. Staff build strong relationships with each pupil, offering guidance, structure and reassurance whenever it’s needed.
Weekly boarding offers the best of both worlds: a structured, engaging school week and family time at weekends.
Pupils return on Sunday evening or Monday morning, then head home after fixtures on Friday or Saturday – avoiding long commutes and giving them space to focus on academics, friendships and co-curricular life.
It’s an excellent option for families juggling busy schedules or frequent travel. Students benefit from routine, independence and calm, purposeful study time, while parents gain peace of mind knowing their child is thriving in a happy, high-quality environment.
Flexi boarding is available from Year 7 upwards and gives day pupils the opportunity to stay for part of the week or occasional weekends, either regularly or on an ad hoc basis. It’s ideal for families who live further away, have changing commitments or want children to experience boarding before moving to weekly or full.
Flexi boarders immerse themselves in all aspects of boarding life: joining activities, completing prep, and forming strong friendships – while still spending plenty of time at home.
Places are limited and early booking is recommended. (£75 per night + VAT, including dinner and breakfast.)
Boarders live in small “pods” with shared social areas, and enjoy a wide range of facilities: games rooms, creative spaces, kitchens, and a calm, device-free chill-out zone. Beyond the house, 57 acres of grounds – including the pool, gym, courts, and theatre – are theirs to explore.
There is always someone to talk to, learn with and lean on. Staff, houseparents and graduate assistants create a safe, happy family atmosphere – offering academic help, pastoral support and plenty of fun.
