On Saturday, 13 June, we welcomed more than 50 vintage car owners, along with their families, friends and local residents, to our 57-acre campus. Visitors gathered outside our Grade II listed Main House to enjoy refreshments and admire an impressive display of classic vehicles before the traditional procession began.

Just before midday, the convoy of cherished cars set off from the School and made its way through Ashtead High Street to the Queen Elizabeth II grounds, officially opening the Village Day celebrations. Our Headmaster joined the parade in his family’s restored 1965 Volvo P1800, a car featured alongside Roger Moore in The Saint and restored by Channel 4’s Car SOS.

This year’s theme, “Let’s Sing & Dance”, brought the village together for an afternoon of entertainment, including an ABBA tribute act, live music, dance performances, a dog show and stalls from local businesses and community groups.

We also hosted a stall opposite the main arena, where our Lettings team and the Old Frees’ Association welcomed visitors throughout the day.

With sunshine, strong community spirit and plenty of visitors, Ashtead Village Day was another great success. We enjoyed being part of this much-loved community event and look forward to supporting it again next year.
