The first Freemen's girls' rugby match was held at school on Monday 29 January, which saw the U14 rugby team claim victory over Dunottar U14s with a score line of 5-4.

Well done to the team of Lower 4 (Year 8) students Lily T, Katerina R, Ryanna N, Michelle L, Zara E and Imogen W and Upper 4 (Year 9) students Milly S, Emily R, Freya VdH  and Karina B.

Mr McKee, Head of Rugby commented: "I want to mention a special thank you to Ms Farrington and Mr Brooks (U14 Girls coaches) for all their hard work and inspiring coaching and encouragement of the players over the past year. Without these two teachers this historical school achievement would never of happened.

"We look forward to many more girls' rugby fixtures in the future and providing a rich diverse rugby programme moving forwards for the rest of Freemen's school history for boys and girls."
