On Monday 6th July we hosted our virtual Oxbridge Panel featuring three Old Frees to a Q & A about the ins and outs of making a successful application to Oxford or Cambridge.
We were delighted to welcome back James Alford (Churchill College, Cambridge, Natural Sciences), Madeline Brown (St Hugh’s, Oxford, English) and Ella Worsfold (Sidney Sussex, Cambridge, PBS) from the class of 2019 as our guest panellists for this event.
Our former students answered questions on summer preparation, wider reading, writing an effective personal statement, choosing a college, pre-tests, what to expect at interview and life as an undergraduate.
Freemen’s has an excellent track record in supporting successful applications to our most competitive universities. Nearly 40 L6 students attended this event after school, showing that the Freemen’s community continues to aim high, which bodes well for UCAS season when we return in September.
