Our Musician in Residence, Tim Peters, has created a wonderful project to bring together pupils at Freemen’s and local schools through music during lockdown.
Tim has composed a song specifically for the project, entitled 'Even Apart We Are Together.' The schools involved, Walton-on-the-Hill Primary School, West Ashtead Primary School and Woodlands Special School, have each received a video to watch teaching pupils some basic singing techniques, along with a video of Tim singing parts of the song. Each pupil will then individually record themselves singing back the song.

Tim will be adding lots of voices and videos from Year 5 and Year 6 pupils as they are sent in. We can’t wait to see the final version with every pupil appearing at some point. The final production will be distributed out to the schools for them to share amongst their communities around the beginning of July.
